Roermond - Maasmechelen - Lanaken - Maastricht
Your group- or individual-vacation on a luxurious hotel ship including bikes. Your trip begins upon the in 2005 fully refurbished luxury Hotel yacht Miro, where an unforgettable bike- and boat cruise through three countries awaits you. The tour begins in Maastricht, in de Pietersplas yacht harbour.
The
route
takes us through the
hospitable Limburg region, the southern most provinces situated between Liege
and Flandreau in Belgium, the level regions of the Netherlands known as
Gelderland and enchanting parts of Germany.
The trip passes through captivating orchards and luminous river landscapes. You can bike on the Mergelland route and usually also on the LF3, a well-planned and sign-posted bike and walking route instigated and approved by Dutch tourist associations ANWB and VVV. On the Belgian side of the Maas the cute little towns of Maaseik and Eijsden await you, with ample portions of good old traditional Belgian gastronomic experience, the best in Europe according to many who have preceded you. And just over the horizon awaits the lovely white town of Thorn, with its impressive Abbey and picturesque streets. The tour will then take you to the ardent town of Venlo and to Arcen, with its renowned castle gardens and hot water springs.
On the German side awaits the Niederrheine region of Zyfflich, famous for its countless storks, and the Brachter Wald for unparalleled biking pleasure. From the Maas town called Cuijk you’ll progress on to the Rhine with its wondrous vistas and famed riverbanks. The combination of these three countries guarantees you a fantastic Boat and Bike holiday, the memories of which will stay with you for many years. The salon yacht Miro accompanies you as your own personal luxury floating hotel.
On board you’ll find excellent biking maps, but for the best-kept secrets of the region feel free to ask your skipper, who is well-versed in the traditions of the region and who can guide you in getting the maximum enjoyment from your stay.
PamperingIt’s our pleasure to serve you a delicious captain’s breakfast every morning. And we’re proud of our award winning cuisine, prepared to the best of Limburg tradition.
