Hotel Yacht MIRO: a real dreamboat  

We’re proud to present to you: the Hotel Yacht Miro!

This beautiful ship was designed by renowned naval architect Andre Hoek from Edam. Hoek designed the ship according to classical lines while ensuring that it still reflected the very best of current ideas on style and comfort. The interior reflects the style of Spanish artist Joan Miro, for whom the ship is also named. Manuel Spielmann restored and re-built the ship, to ensure even higher standards of perfection and comfort. Mart van der Kleijn ensures you only the smoothest of smooth sailing and makes sure that everything is functioning exactly
as it should be.  Miss Elly takes care of a luxurious and hospitable interior. In September 2000 Miss Elly, Captain Mart van der Kleijn, along with the yacht and the crew were brought into the holding known as  Dutch Paradise B.V.B.A. in Poppel, Belgium, a sales organisation that guarantees that the ship maintains the consistent standards of first-class service with a hospitable, warm atmosphere and a diligent crew.

The salon yacht Miro is 26 metres long, 4.45 metres wide and 3.50 metres high, with a depth of 1.25 metres. This makes the ship well-able to sail inland, all the way from Denmark to the south of France. In the summer months from May through October
the Miro hosts Boat and Bike Holidays, RiverCruises and private charters in the Netherlands, Belgium and France, for which the yacht harbour Pietersplas in
Maastricht serves as the Miro’s home harbour; a lovely harbour with
cc-camera parking surveillance and full-service facilities. The Miro also has a Ship taxi service for excursions or for visits to the heart of Maastricht. We’re also happy to set sail from any port in the Netherlands, Belgium or anywhere else that suits you in almost all of Europe.

In de winter, from October to May, the Miro is docked at the very centre of Maastricht in the
historical internal harbour called
’t Bassin, and offers exclusive
Hotel stays for your midweek getaway or weekend out; and
when we say centre we really
mean the very heart of the city,
not 500 meters away from the
main square! A fantastic atmosphere and excellent parking facilities await you.

The Miro has  6 luxuriously appointed 2-person Comfort Class Cabins, finished in the finest cherry wood, each containing a separate bathroom with shower, toilet and so forth. There is a cosy seating area, satellite colour TV, a safe, 220 volt electricity network, fax, telephone.
The yacht is also equipped with internet access, as well as heating for those cooler nights and air-conditioning for warm summer days.  The interior reflects the luxurious style and decadence of the 1920’s. The spacious salon with open fireplace and fully-equipped bar has expansive windows allowing panoramic views. The yacht also has
a protected back deck area, to keep stiff sea breezes at bay, as well as roomy
stairwells and wide gangplanks. A fabulous sunning area with ample seating
completes the picture.

The service and pampering on board is First-class. Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be served according to your most exacting requirements. And the bar is amply stocked, and includes a beer tap.

Ten new bikes await you on board, all of them Gazelle Chamonix, with double shock absorption and 8 speeds, adjustable handlebars, a roller break breaking system, bike computer, helmet and so forth. Extensive cycling maps and route information are available for your party or
vacation pleasure. And of course there’s a dinghy for day-tripping.
